    We are seeking a highly motivated senior accounts payable officer to join our friendly finance team on a 6 months contract basis.

    Job tasks and responsibilities

    • Setting up and maintenance of supplier details in our legal practice management software and our accounting system
    • Prepare cheques, EFT requests and remittance advice to suppliers  
    • Daily processing of high-volume office and disbursement invoices in a multiple payment runs
    • Manage and reimburse employee expense claims
    • Managing petty cash  
    • Month end reconciliation of supplier statements and invoices
    • Undertake, implement and initiate improvements on all aspect of accounts payable workflow, particularly the EFT payment process
    • Maintaining accurate and up to date records and filing system
    • Assist with finance projects and ad-hoc duties

    The Successful Applicant

    • Completed bachelor degree in accounting or commerce
    • Minimum 3 years’ accounts payable experience is essential. Experience within a legal environment or major accounting firms is highly desirable
    • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong attention to details and demonstrates high accuracy in completing tasks
    • A self-starter who has a ‘can-do’ attitude
    • Proficient in Microsoft office

    The Opportunity

    As a professional personal assistant, you will be working and supporting a senior partner. You are responsible for a broad range of duties which include but not limit to:

    • Diary management
    • Organising meetings and travel arrangements
    • Typing general correspondence including documents, letters and emails
    • Managing, answering and directing all incoming and outgoing calls
    • Liaising with stakeholders
    • Assisting with general ad-hoc administration

    The Successful Applicant

    The personal assistant position at Zaparas will be both challenging and rewarding. To be considered for the role, you will have:

    • At least 5 years' extensive experience in providing personal assistance to senior executives in a professional environment. Experience working in law firms is desirable but not essential.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
    • Great attention to details and have a track record of producing high-quality work.
    • Flexible, reliable and friendly.
    • Comprehensive computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    The Opportunity

    As a professional Personal Assistant, you will be working and supporting a senior Partner, with an emphasis on marketing and business development. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Diary management
    • Organising meetings and travel
    • Typing general correspondence including documents, letters and emails
    • Speaking with clients and third parties such as medical specialist both face to face or over the phone
    • Support with the delivery of the marketing, advertising and business development strategy 
    • Event management and attendance
    • Coordination of marketing collateral, brochures and promotional items
    • Write, edit and publish content for social media
    • Collate and develop marketing collateral for lawyer BD activities
    • Research, brainstorming and prioritise ideas
    • Support other marketing initiatives and projects as required

    The Successful Applicant

    The personal assistant position at Zaparas Lawyers will be both challenging and rewarding.

    To be considered for the role, you will have:

    • Completed Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related discipline
    • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise 
    • Able to think independently and come up with solutions promptly

    • Flexible, reliable and friendly
